Data

Several datasets are available through the links provided on this website.

Weather station data

The Hopi Tribe maintains 11 weather stations that are distributed throughout the Hopi Reservation and Hopi-owned ranches. These weather stations collect air temperature, soil temperature, rainfall, percent humidity, leaf wetness, soil moisture, solar radiation, and wind gust, speed and direction data. Data are available from 2003 to the present. Links to nearby Weather Service stations are also available.

Stream gauge site data

The Hopi Tribe works in conjunction with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) to maintain stream gauges on each of the major washes running through the reservation. Real-time dishcharge, daily mean discharge, peak discharge and water sediment data are available through links to the USGS website.

GIS data

The Hopi Tribe Water Resources Program maintains a Geographical Information System (GIS) database containing spatial information pertaining to the tribe's water resources. Shapefiles containing information on Hopi boundaries, streams, weather station locations, and stream gauge locations can be downloaded.
